Departs downtown Verona. From Tuesday to Saturday at 10.30 AM from Corso Porta Nuova. (close to McDonald’s)

Departure from the meeting point at 10.30 AM – Corso Porta Nuova 18 (look for the volunteer) close to McDonald’s.

1. I portoni della brà – verona main gate and the clock of the count nogarola.

Constructed by the Visconti family, 1389 – 1402 a.C., built along the medieval walls of Verona for connect the ancient countryside to the square. Near here we can found the Sheakspeare “plate” with the famous word pronounced by Romeo during the exile. On the right from the door there is the amazing Museo Maffeiano.

4. Castelvecchio e il ponte scaligero.

Construced by Cangrande II della Scala, Lord of the Scaligeri family wich dominated Verona from XIII to XIV. Used in the past to protect Cangrande from family struggles.

5. Portoni Borsari.

Originally the main gate of the city, called like the man’s that they were collecting the “dazio”a tax for enter in Verona.

One of the most beautiful square in Italy, is a collage of Palaces, statues and towers from different periods.

7. Piazza Dante (or piazza dei Signori).

In the medieval times was the place that hosted the court from the Scaligeri family. Here we found a statue from Dante Alighieri.

Hi guys! I am Francesca and I am native from Verona.
The love for my city and for travels gave me the idea to start the already famous movement of Free Walking Tour in my wonderful city. I studied tourism at the high school and when i left, i never stop to “walk” around the world. I have been for now between many countries of Europe but also north Africa, south America and Asia, of course my dream is visit the intere world! I also like to take part of others free walking tours during my holydays. For me will be pleasure to show you some of the most romantic and unforgettable corners of my city. Ready to follow me?

WHERE DOES THE FREE WALKING TOUR VERONA LEAVE FROM?

Our walk leaves from Corso Porta Nuova 18 (close to McDonald’s). Your guide will be waiting there with a yellow poster.

WHEN DOES THE FREE WALKING TOUR VERONA START?

Our walk departs the meeting spot promptly at 10.30am each morning from Tuesday to Saturday. Private Tours are available on demand (min. 4 people), booking is required. We are walking rain or shine. Arrive a few minutes before to ensure you leave enough time to locate your friendly guide.

HOW LONG IS THE FREE WALKING TOUR VERONA?

Our walk runs between 2.5 and 3 hours depending on the size of the group, including a quick break for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat.

WHAT IF I'M NOT A WALKER?

Our walk is an easy wander through the city and is suitable for people of all ages and all fitness levels. The entire walk spans about four kilometres and includes plenty of stops along the way.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Comfortable shoes, a bottle of water (there will be opportunities to fill up on the way), and sunscreen if we are in the summer time.

DO I NEED TO BOOK?

Bookings are not necessary, but feel free to contact us if you have a big group (10 people or more) and you want peace of mind that we are expecting you.
